Halitosis, or bad breath, can be found in almost 25 percent of the population. If you have halitosis, improving your oral health might help you get rid of it.

Our dentist, Dr. Bennett R. Shanker, wants you to have the best oral health possible. That is why our team at Shanker Dental in Bridgeton, New Jersey, is here to help you with a few tips of how to get rid of your halitosis.

Halitosis can be caused by what you eat, and how you keep care of your mouth. IF you want to help fight against bad breath, make sure that you are brushing your mouth at least twice a day for at least two minutes. This should help remove any bacteria that can lead to halitosis.

Once you are finished brushing your teeth, spend time to brush your entire tongue, especially near the back. The environment on your tongue can be a great place for some bacteria to grow, and by brushing your tongue you can help remove those bacteria that can lead to halitosis.
